Leeds United in talks with Ezgjan Alioski over new contract

Leeds United are hopeful that Ezgjan Alioski will sign a new contract with the club, according to The Athletic. The versatile 28-year-old is out of contract at Leeds at the end of the season, and there has been speculation that Turkish giants Galatasaray are interested in signing him on a free transfer in the summer of 2021.

According to the report, Leeds are still in talks with the North Macedonia international, who can operate as a winger and as a left-back. Leeds head coach Marcelo Bielsa wants to keep the versatile 28-year-old, and the player himself is open to extending his deal, according to the report.

Alioski arrived at Leeds as a winger, but he has been covered into a left-back by Bielsa. According to WhoScored, the former Lugano star has made 15 starts and three substitute appearances in the Premier League for Leeds so far this season, scoring three goals in the process.
