Leeds want Fulham midfielder on free transfer

Leeds United are in the middle of a race for the spot in Premier League, but despite uncertain future of the league in which they will participate next season, the club from Elland Road is already preparing new names to come this summer.

This time Leeds are interested in Fulham midfielder Stefan Johansen. This is a potential coup for Marcelo Bielsa’s team, as they could sign the player on a free transfer this summer. Johansen has been on loan at Leeds since January and the genial Argentine coach has had the opportunity of working with the player and getting to know him better.

Johansen made just 12 appearances for Fulham in Premier League this season, as part of their horrendous campaign which will inevitably see them relegated to the Championship. Leeds might go up to take their spot and the 28-year-old midfielder could be an important factor. Leeds will get a chance to sign a player they have already seen perform in their shirt and Johansen would not be entirely surprised by the Premier League standards.
