Liverpool eye Milan Skriniar in January

Liverpool are interested in signing Milan Skriniar from Inter Milan in the summer transfer window, according to ESPN. It has been reported that the defending Premier League champions have identified the Slovakia International as a potential replacement for Virgil Van Dijk.

Van Dijk is injured at the moment and is likely to be out of action for the rest of the season. One of the potential targets for Liverpool in the middle of the campaign is Skriniar. ESPN has claimed that Tottenham Hotspur wanted to sign the 25-year-old centre-back in the summer transfer window and remain keen o securing his services in January.

According to WhoScored, Skriniar has played twice in Serie A for Inter so far this season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the Slovakia international centre-back made 30 starts and two substitute appearances in the league, according to WhoScored.
