Liverpool interested in Berge after Fabinho injury

Liverpool’s unbeaten run continues, as Jurgen Klopp’s team has now gone 31 matches in the Premier League without losing. With Manchester City’s draw against Newcastle, their lead over the champions grew to 11 points, but things will not be easy in the next month or so for the Reds.

The reason for that is the injury Fabinho earned against Napoli in the Champions League during midweek and he could be out of contention for up to eight weeks. That is a long period and in the next 30 days, Liverpool will play 10 matches. That is why, according to Mirror, Liverpool are ready to step up their interest in Sander Berge. The Genk Midfielder is a Norwegian youngster who has been doing very well in the position ahead of the back four.

His contract with the Belgian club expires in 18 months and it could be a perfect timing for Genk to sell him this January. Liverpool might take the chance and get him, to offer more cover for Fabinho.
