Liverpool have had an odd summer. After winning the Champions League and failing to finally conquer Premier League despite winning 97 points across the season, they did not sign any new players. That did not bother them so far, as they won first six games of the campaign, but now Calciomercato are reporting they could be making some transfer moves soon.
It was unexpected seeing Liverpool not sign anyone and many are guessing when and whom they could sign. Calciomercato claim they are interested in Ajax forward David Neres. The 22-year-old was one of the stars in Ajax’s amazing Champions League run that had seen them almost reach the final. The Brazilian started this season well, too, as he scored twice in his seven Eredivisie matches.
It is still hard seeing Liverpool signing him, as he is not yet at the necessary level, but the Reds will monitor him for sure. Neres has a contract with the Dutch champions through June 2023.
