Liverpool looking to offload Agger

Danish defender Daniel Agger is being widely linked with a summer exit, according to El Mundo Deportivo.

Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers does not seem to value the player highly and he hopes to cash in on the experienced centre-back in the summer transfer window.

Agger was even offered to long-term admirers Barcelona some three months ago, but the Catalans rejected the proposal as they have been put off by his recent injury problems.

Liverpool have already splashed the cash on Adam Lallana, Emre Can and Rickie Lambert, while having a mega money bid rejected for Dejan Lovren, and they are now looking to balance the books by offloading some fringe players.

Daniel Agger, 29, has been a loyal servant to the club, making 175 Premier League outings since arriving from Brondby, but he lost his place in the starting line-up midway through last season and appears to have played his final game for the Reds.
