Liverpool want to sign Matheus Nunes from Wolverhampton Wanderers

Liverpool are interested in signing Matheus Nunes from Premier League rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers in the summer of 2023, according to The Telegraph. The report has claimed that Liverpool wanted to bring Nunes to Anfield in the summer of 2022 and are keen on securing the services of the midfielder.

Wolves signed Nunes from from Sporting Lisbon in the summer of 2022. The Wanderers paid a transfer fee of £38 million for the 24-year-old Portugal international attacking midfielder. Liverpool wanted to sign him before his move to Wolves.

Liverpool reportedly made a commitment to bid for Nunes and are exploring a deal to secure his services in the January transfer window. The former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners will reportedly paid £44 million for Nunes and will officially bring him to Anfield in the summer of 2023.  The midfielder has made 12 starts and two substitute appearances in the Premier League for Wolves so far this season, providing one assist in the process.
