Lukas Jukiewicz 12/5 to score anytime against Millwall in Wednesday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Lukas Jukiewicz to score anytime

Odds: 12/5 @ Bet 365

Desperate to put Saturday’s derby defeat behind them, Birmingham will travel to The Den on Wednesday.

Starting with the hosts, while Neil Harris’ side may have briefly flirted with the playoffs last season, it has been a very sluggish start for Millwall this time around. Coming off the back of a 1-1 draw with fellow strugglers Bolton over over the weekend, the Lions are enduring a three-match winless run that has now seen them ship seven goals. With only their goal difference keeping them out of the relegation zone, Harris will know the importance of turning their recent defensive issues around. Millwall’s 30 goals conceded sees them currently hold the second worst defensive record in the Championship.

As for the visitors, although Gary Monk’s side could only slump to a 4-2 loss to bitter rivals Aston Villa over the weekend the Blues will have their sights set on securing a top half finish this time around. Although a win on Wednesday could see them climb within touching distance of the playoffs, the former Swansea boss will know they must end a run of form that has seen them fail to win any of their last three and also concede 10 goals on that run. With the perfect opportunity to end their drought in midweek, Monk will be looking for top scorer Lukas Jukiewicz to carry on his start to the season. Finding the net once again in Saturday’s defeat, the 29-year-old has 10 for the season and seven in his last seven.
