Man United to keep Wan-Bissaka despite West Ham and Crystal Palace interest

Crystal Palace have made contact with Manchester United over the possibility of bringing Aaron Wan-Bissaka back to Selhurst Park, and West Ham have made enquiries too, but according to David Ornstein of The Athletic, the 20-time English champions have no intention of selling the right-back or allowing him to leave on loan before the window closes on Thursday evening. Therefore, both approaches were turned down without a second’s thought.

Wan-Bissaka has lost his place in the starting XI to Diogo Dalot, who has been putting in fine performances indeed recently. Nonetheless, United manager Erik ten Hag is adamant about having two reliable options for the right defensive flank, which means a replacement would have to be identified and signed in less than three days if Wan-Bissaka was to leave. That, of course, is now unlikely to happen.

Since his arrival to Old Trafford from Crystal Palace in 2019 for around £50 million, the 24-year-old has made a total of 127 appearances for United, scoring twice and producing 10 assists.
