Manchester City are interested in signing James Maddison from Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. Man City are looking for a successor to Kevin De Bruyne and have already made an offer of €65 million for Maddison.
De Bruyne is a Man City legend, but the Belgian midfielder will leave last season’s Premier League champions at the end of the season. The 33-year-old has scored 108 goals and given 177 assists in 418 appearances for the Cityzens.
Maddison joined Tottenham from Leicester City in the summer of 2023. The 28-year-old England international has scored 12 goals and provided 11 assists in 45 appearances for the North London club this season. Maddison has scored 16 goals and provided 21 assists in 75 appearances for Spurs so far in his career. Spurs are 16th in the Premier League table at the moment with 38 points from 35 matches. Tottenham will take on Bodo/Glimt away from home in the second leg of the UEFA Europa League semi-final tie on Thursday evening.
