Manchester City want John Stones to extend his stay at the Etihad Stadium, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that City, who won the Premier League, the UEFA Champions League and the FA Cup last season, are in talks with defender Stones over a new contract.
Stones has been on the books of City since 2016 and has been very good for Pep Guardiola’s side over the years. The 29-year-old England international defender has won the Premier League title five times, the FA Cup twice, the EFL Cup on two occasions, and the UEFA Champions League once with City so far in his career. Stones is out of contract at City in the summer of 2026.
City are at the top of the Premier League table at the moment with 27 points from 11 matches, a point clear of second-placed Tottenham Hotspur, who have played 10 games.
