Manchester City planning move for Aston Villa ace Jack Grealish

Manchester City are interested in signing Jack Grealish from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the January transfer window, according to The Daily Star. It has been reported that City manager Pep Guardiola is planning to make a raid on the Villans and sign attacking midfielder Grealish as well as defensive midfielder Douglas Luiz in a £100 million deal.

City told Luiz to Villa in the summer of 2019 for a transfer fee of £15 million and will have to trigger a £25 million buyback clause to bring the Brazilian back to the Etihad Stadium. Grealish is also claimed to be on the radar of Arsenal and Manchester United.

According to WhoScored, Grealish has scored four goals and provided five assists in seven Premier League matches for Villa so far this season. During the 2019-20 campaign, the attacking midfielder scored eight goals and provided six assists in 36 league games for Dean Smith’s side, according to WhoScored.
