Odds: 1/1 @ 888sport

Simply looking to finish off the job this week, Manchester United will welcome a struggling LASK to Old Trafford on Wednesday night with one foot firmly in the quarter-finals of this year’s Europa League.

Starting with the hosts, ending this year’s Premier League campaign with a 2-0 win away at Leicester, Manchester United managed to secure a top-four return after a stunning second half to the year. Bouncing back from their FA Cup heartbreak at Wembley last month and tasting defeat just once since January 22nd, the Red Devils also have a growing reputation for their new-found clinical edge in the final third. Landing a stunning 5-0 romp when they faced off against LASK back in March when they met in the first-leg out in Austria, one man to keep an eye out for in midweek will be attacking talisman, Bruno Fernandes. Once again converting from the spot at the King Power last week, the Portuguese playmaker also has six Europa League goals to his name this season.

As for the visitors, while Manchester United might have managed to land a Champions League return at the back end of the season, LASK endured what was a torrid end to their own domestic campaign. Including failing to pick up a much-needed morale boost after being hit with a shock 2-0 defeat against the little known Slovakian outfit Senica on home soil in a friendly contest last week, Valérien Ismaël’s men also ended the 2019/2020 Bundesliga campaign with a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Red Bull Salzburg. In fact, slipping out of the top-three after losing their last three domestic matchups on the bounce, LASK also have a growing reputation for their issues in the final third. Managing to bag just a single strike in over 400 minutes of action, the Austrian strugglers could be in for another long night in Manchester.
