Manchester United eye Braga defender David Carmo

Manchester United are interested in signing David Carmo from Braga in the January transfer window, according to ESPN. It has been reported that other clubs in England are also keen on the 21-year-old central defender, while AS Roma and Fiorentina in Italy expressed an interest in securing his services in the summer of 2020.

United manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is reportedly keen on signing a left-sided centre-back, and Carmo is among the players he is considering. The 21-year-old has been on the books of Braga since 2015 and is starting to establish himself as a regular in the first team. According to WhoScored, Carmo has played five times in the Portuguese league and three in the Europa League so far this season, while during the 2020-21 campaign, he made 16 starts and two substitute appearances in the league and played 64 minutes in the Europa League.

United are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 10 points from seven matches.
