Manchester United are interested in signing Nathan Patterson from Rangers in the January transfer window, according to 90min. It has been reported that the Premier League giants are looking into the possibility of signing Patterson as well as his Rangers teammate and fellow right-back James Tavernier.
Patterson made his breakthrough in the Rangers team last season and has a bright future ahead of him. The 19-year-old has provided one assist in one Scottish Premiership games for the Gers so far this season. During the 2020-21 campaign, the teenager made two starts and three substitute appearances in the league, and made three starts and one substitute appearance in the Europa League.
A move to United would be a big step up for Patterson, but he should also consider the possibility that he will struggle for playing time. After all, Patterson is only 20 and is just starting his career.
