Manchester United are interested in signing John McGinn from Premier League rivals Aston Villa in the summer transfer window, according to The Athletic. It has been reported that the Red Devils are keeping tabs on the Scotland international midfielder ahead of the Euro 2020 finals this summer.
McGinn is one of the best players for Villa and is one of the better midfielders in the Premier League. The 26-year-old Scotland international has been on the books of the Villans since 2018 and helped them win promotion from the Championship before establishing them in the Premier League.
The former St Mirren star is a very combative midfielder who can impose himself in the middle of the park and also drive the team forward. McGinn would make United a better team, but Villa are unlikely to sell him on the cheap. However, if the Red Devils make an offer for the midfielder, then he could be tempted to a move to arguably the biggest club in England.
