Manchester United plan Sam Johnstone talks

Manchester United are interested in signing West Bromwich Albion goalkeeper Sam Johnstone in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. Johnstone is out of contract at Championship club West Brom at the end of the season, and Premier League and European giants Manchester United want to bring him to Old Trafford on a free transfer.

Johnstone came through the ranks at Manchester United and was on the books of the Red Devils until 2018. However, the England international goalkeeper failed to break into the first team. The 28-year-old has been superb over the years for West Brom, who are aiming to finish in the Championship playoffs this season.

Newcastle United are also interested in Johnstone, but it is Manchester United who have talks planned with the goalkeeper.
