Manchester United are interested in signing Alexis Mac Allister from Premier League rivals Brighton and Hove Albion in the summer transfer window, according to Fabrizio Romano on Twitter. The Italian journalist has claimed that former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners United will open talks with the Argentina international midfielder and his camp soon.

Mac Allister himself wants to leave Brighton at the end of the season and has fully made up his mind to do so. The 24-year-old has been on the books of the Seagulls since 2019 and came to the fore this season when he helped Argentina win the 2022 Qatar World Cup finals.
United are third in the Premier League table at the moment with 59 points from 30 matches. Meanwhile, Brighton currently find themselves seventh in the standings with 49 points from 29 games.
