Manchester United want Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope

Manchester United are interested in signing Nick Pope from Burnley in the summer of 2021, according to The Daily Star. It has been reported that the Red Devils have identified Pope as a potential replacement for David de Gea. The Spain international is the first-choice goalkeeper at Old Trafford at the moment, but the Red Devils are willing to sell him at the right price.

Pope is one of the better goalkeepers in the Premier League and is a key figure at Burnley. The Clarets are in danger of going down to the Championship at the end of the season, and even if they stay up, it is hard to see Sean Dyche’s side challenge for the European places on a regular basis.

Dean Henderson is the back-up at United at the moment and is rated very highly. If De Gea leaves, then Henderson will fight with Pope for a regular place in the starting lineup. The Red Devils are aiming to finish in the top four of the Premier League table this season and also win the Europa League.
