Manchester United want Villarreal defender Pau Torres

Manchester United are interested in signing Pau Torres from Villarreal in the summer of 2021, according to Fichajes. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that although United have not put any formal offer on the table for the defender, they have asked about his situation.

Torres is one of the better defenders in La Liga and has been playing well for Villarreal this season. According to WhoScored, the 24-year-old central defender has scored two goals in 27 La Liga matches and has scored one goal in five Europa League games for the Yellow Submarine so far this campaign.

However, Torres will not come cheap for United. The report in Fichajes has claimed that the defender has a release clause of €65 million, and that Villarreal want that entire sum paid. It remains to be seen if the Red Devils will be willing to spend that much cash on a 24-year-old defender in the summer of 2021.
