Milan closing in on Leao

AC Milan were one of the more interesting sides doing business in Italy this summer, but most of their dealings were headed towards defence and midfield. Players like Rade Krunic and Theo Hernandez have arrived from Empoli and Real Madrid, but now a forward could be joining Rossonerri.

Lille forward Rafael Leao is reportedly close to completing a €35m move to San Siro. According to RMC Sport, a deal has been struck between the two clubs and the 20-year-old should soon arrive in Italy. That is when he is supposed to have his medical and sign the contract with the team that will miss out on Europa League this season.

Leao has been linked with a number of clubs including Everton, Napoli and Wolves after scoring eight Ligue 1 goals last season. This move could make things interesting and offer some nice competition to Krzysztof Piatek in the forward line.
