Millwall 21/20 to beat Wigan in Tuesday’s Championship contest

Competition: Championship

Market: Millwall win

Odds: 21/20 @ Bet 365

Really starting to catch the eye and enjoying an extended purple patch, a high-flying Millwall will welcome Wigan to the Den on Tuesday night.

Starting with the hosts, since appointing former Derby boss Gary Rowett last month, Millwall are enjoying what has quickly become a stellar resurge. Picking up a very impressive 1-0 win away at promotion contenders Swansea over the weekend, the Lions have now landed back-to-back Championship victories and they have also tasted defeat just once over the past five weeks. Climbing into the top half of the table, a huge part of Millwall’s continued success has been their form in South London. Picking up a 2-1 win against Charlton in their last appearance at the Den, Tuesday’s hosts are unbeaten in their last four matches on home soil, winning three of those contests.

As for the visitors, throwing away a one-goal lead at Stoke over the weekend and leaving the Bet365 Stadium empty-handed, Wigan find themselves in the midst of a real struggle. Holding just a one-point buffer from slipping into the drop zone, Paul Cook’s men have now lost their last three matches on the bounce and they have now failed to record a victory since the 20th of October. Continuing to show some glaring issues at the back and now shipping at least a pair of goals in each of their previous four outings, it should also be noted that Wigan are yet to record a single victory on the road since opening the 2019/2020 campaign.
