Nancy striker Issiar Dia makes Turkish switch

Fenerbahce have completed the signing of highly rated Senegalese forward Issiar Dia from AS Nancy Lorraine. Dia, 23, has reportedly costed the Turkish giants around 8 million euros, and has signed a four year contract with the Yellow Canaries.

Dia started off his career with Amiens SC and made forty five appearances for them before joining Nancy in 2006. He played regularly for Nancy, but scored only six goals for them in his first three seasons. However the 2009-10 season was the start of a new beginning for him as he netted eight times in 33 outings.

Fenerbahce finished second in the Turkish League last season. Dia will be competing with the likes of Dani Guiza, Deivid and co. for a starting spot at Fenerbahce.
