Newcastle eye Arsenal goalkeeper Bernd Leno

Newcastle United are interested in signing Bernd Leno from Arsenal in the summer transfer window, according to 90min. It has been reported that the Magpies are looking for a new goalkeeper, and want to sign Germany international Leno from Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Leno lost his place in the Arsenal starting lineup in the opening weeks of the season and is now the second-choice goalkeeper after Aaron Ramsdale at the Emirates Stadium. The 30-year-old has made four appearances in the Premier League, three in the Carabao Cup and once in the FA Cup.

Arsenal are fourth in the Premier League table at the moment with 54 points from 28 matches, while Newcastle are 14th in the standings with 31 points from 29 games.
