Newcastle make contact with Tottenham over Dele Alli

Newcastle United are interested in signing Dele Alli from Tottenham Hotspur in the January transfer window, according to TEAMtalk. It has been reported that Tottenham are willing to listen to offers for the England international midfielder, and Premier League rivals Newcastle have made contact.

Eddie Howe’s side have made contact with Spurs and have made it clear that they want to sign Alli on loan until the end of the season. Newcastle also want a clause which will give them the option to make the deal permanent in the summer of 2022 if they stay in the Premier League.

Alli has been off his game for over two years now. There are no signs that Alli could revive himself under new Tottenham head coach Antonio Conte, and a transfer to Newcastle in the January transfer window would make sense.
