Newcastle United are interested in signing Youri Tielemans from Premier League rivals Leicester City in 2023, according to 90min. The report has claimed that Newcastle wanted to sign the Belgium international in the summer transfer window and remain keen on securing his services.
Tielemans is out of contract at former Premier League champions Leicester at the end of the season. Leicester could reportedly sell the Belgian for less than £20 million in the January transfer window, and Newcastle are keen.
The 25-year-old has been superb for Leicester over the years, and for a free transfer next summer, he would be a brilliant signing for Newcastle, or for any other club for that matter.
Tielemans has made six starts and one substitute appearance in the Premier League for the Foxes so far this season, scoring one goal and providing one assist in the process. Last season, Tielemans made 29 starts and three substitute appearances in the league, scoring six goals and giving four assists in the process.
