Newcastle United interested in Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah

Newcastle United are interested in signing Arsenal striker Eddie Nketiah in the summer transfer window, according to The Mirror. Nketiah is out of contract at Arsenal at the end of the season, and Premier League rivals Newcastle are keen on securing the services of the 22-year-old striker on a free transfer in the summer of 2022.

Arsenal have held talks with Nketiah over a new deal, with manager Mikel Arteta desperate to keep the striker at the Emirates Stadium for next season and beyond. Nketiah has been the Gunners since 2015 and has come through the ranks to play for the first team.

Nketiah has made five starts and 13 substitute appearances in the Premier League for Arsenal this season, scoring four goals and providing one assist in the process. The Arsenal no. 30 made four starts and one substitute appearance in the Carabao Cup this campaign, scoring five goals in the process.
