Newcastle United are interested in signing Fabio Miretti from Juventus in the January transfer window, according to CMW. The report in the Italian news outlet has claimed that the Premier League club are looking to bring the 19-year-old Italy international midfielder to St. James’ Park and want him to be part of their long-term plans that revolves around youngsters.
Miretti is one of the best young Italian players around and is starting to establish himself as an important player in the Juventus first team. The teenager has made six starts and seven substitute appearances in Serie A so far this season, providing one assist in the process. The Juventus midfielder has also made three starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Champions League this season.
Newcastle United are having a wonderful seasonal the moment and are aiming to finish in the UEFA Champions League places in the Premier League table. As for Juventus, the Bianconeri are looking to finish in the top four of Serie A.
