Newcastle United monitoring Manchester United youngster Brandon Williams

Newcastle United are interested in signing Brandon Williams from Premier League rivals Manchester United in the January transfer window, according to The Chronicle. It has been reported that the 20-year-old left-back is likely to be made available for a loan transfer in January, and that the Magpies have been monitoring him.

However, according to the report, Newcastle are not the only club who are showing interest in the England Under-21 international, who is a very versatile footballer and can also operate as right-back or as a wing-back. Southampton are also claimed to be keen on securing the services of Williams on loan for the second half of the season, having initially tried for him in September.

According to WhoScored, Williams has played six minutes in the Premier League and 31 minutes in the Champions League for United so far this season, During the 2019-20 campaign, the youngster made 11 starts and six substitute appearances in the league and played eight times in the Europa League for the Red Devils, according to WhoScored.
