Newcastle United want to sign Marc Guehi from Crystal Palace

Newcastle United are interested in signing Marc Guehi from London and Premier League rivals Crystal Palace, according to The Sun. The report has claimed that Newcastle are looking for a new centre-back due to injury problems, and that the Magpies have made an inquiry.

However, Palace are not keen on selling Guehi in the middle of the season. The Sun has claimed that the Eagles want a massive fee for the 23-year-old England international central defender, and that Newcastle may not be too keen on coughing up that kind of money.

Newcastle are seventh in the Premier League table at the moment with 29 points from 18 matches, as many as 11 points behind leaders Arsenal. Meanwhile, Palace currently find themselves 15th in the league table with 18 points from 18 games, six points above the bottom three.
