Newcastle United want to sign Reiss Nelson

Newcastle United are interested in signing Reiss Nelson in the summer transfer window, according to Football Transfers. The report has claimed that Newcastle have made contact with the representatives of Nelson and are keen on bringing him to St. James’ Park for next season and beyond.

Nelson is a free agent at the moment after his contract with Arsenal ran out on June 30. The Gunners, though, have offered the 23-year-old winger a new contract. The youngster has yet to offer it. Newcastle are now trying to get a deal done ahead of Premier League rivals Arsenal.

Nelson came through the academy at Arsenal, but the 23-year-old has not been able to make himself a regular in the first team. The winger made 11 substitute appearances in the Premier League for the Gunners last season, scoring three goals and providing two assists in the process. The winger also made four starts and two substitute appearances in the UEFA Europa League for Arsenal last campaign.
