Premiership side Newcastle United have reportedly set their sights on Celtic captain Stephen McManus.
The Magpies made an enquiry about the availability of the defender, in reply to Celtic’s interest in Spaniard Jose Enrique. Newcastle boss Joe Kinnear seemingly wants to include McManus as part of the deal.
The 26-year-old McManus joined the Bhoys in 2000 and remained in Glasgow since. He also played 17 matches for the Scottish national team.
