Olympiakos Piraeus needed only one goal to maintain their comfortable lead over Panathinaikos in the Greek Super League. AEK Athens took three points at Iraklis Saloniki.

Leaders Olympiakos travelled to face last-placed Panserraikos and opened the score through defender Vassilis Torosidis after 26 minutes. The goal was enough for the Athens outfit to take another three points, and add a third consecutive league win to their account.

Fourth-placed AEK Athens achieved a similar result at Iraklis, 0-1. The only goal in this match was scored by Argentinian Ismael Blanco after 68 minutes.

At the moment, Blanco is joint-topscorer in the Greek league, together with fellow countryman Luciano Galletti of Olympiakos.

Pressure is now on Panathinaikos and PAOK Saloniki to bring the gap with Olympiakos back to nine points when they face Aris Saloniki and Panthrakikos respectively.
