Otamendi open to leaving Manchester City

Nicolas Otamendi seems read to leave Manchester City this summer! According to Goal.com, the Argentina international who feels unable to break into Pep Guardiola’s starting XI this season, is ready to move on and find a new club.

The player signed a new contract with the club in January 2018, when he was integral part of the back four in a record-breaking tittle-winning campaign from the Citizens, but this season has been much harder on him. Otamendi has made just 13 Premier League starts this season, falling behind John Stones and Aymeric Laporte in the pecking order in recent months.

Sources close to the player are saying he is not eager to force a transfer and that he is not unhappy at the Etihad, but that if a good offer arrived, he would seriously consider a change of scenery, especially if it offered regular first-team football at a competitive club or league.
