Palmeiras linked with Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani

Palmeiras are interested in signing Manchester United striker Edinson Cavani, according to journalist Jorge Nicola, as relayed by Sport Witness. The former Paris Saint-Germain striker is out of contract at United at the end of the season, and it is unlikely that he will be handed a new deal.

Brazilian club Palmeiras are keen on signing the Uruguayan striker on a free transfer in the summer of 2022. However, it will depend on whether Cavani wants to return to South America and whether he has offers to stay in Europe.

The 34-year-old joined United on a free transfer in the summer of 2020 after leaving French giants Paris Saint-Germain and has scored 18 goals in 47 appearances for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side.
