Pape Matar Sarr on verge of Tottenham Hotspur transfer

Metz midfielder Pape Matar Sarr is on the verge of joining Tottenham Hotspur despite interest form Arsenal, Aston Villa, Chelsea and Everton, according to The Daily Mail. It has been reported that Arsenal, Villa, Chelsea and Everton all are interested in securing the services of Sarr, but the Senegal international is about to switch to Tottenham.

It has been reported that Tottenham have agreed a deal worth £14.5 million with Metz. As part of the deal, the 18-year-old midfielder will stay at the French club on loan for this season before joining up at Spurs next summer. Despite interest from a number of clubs, Sarr decided to pick Tottenham after holding talks with the North London club.

Sarr made 18 starts and four substitute appearances in Ligue 1 for Metz last season, scoring three goals in the process. The teenager has provided one assist in three league games so far this campaign.
