A disappointing goalless draw will leave both Portugal and Sweden unhappy, as the two countries are further away from the World Cup than ever.

Neither side managed to break the deadlock at Porto’s O Dragao stadium. Even Portuguese stars as Cristiano Ronaldo, Ricardo Carvalho and Pepe could not do enough to lead the home side to a much-needed victory.

Portugal are now third in group 1 with six points from five games, and the gap with Denmark and Hungary is considerable. Sweden have the same amount of points as Portugal, but did play a game less.
