Nacional Funchal failed to extend their lead in the Portuguese Liga Sagres, losing 1-2 to Estrela Amadora.

The away side were mostly inspired by Vidigal, who scored in the 21st and 70th minute to take a comfortable lead.

Nene did something back in added time, but it was too little, too late.

The defeat is Nacional’s first of the season, although they do still share the lead with Sporting Lisbon. The two sides may also be joined by Leixoes on Monday.
