Bournemouth and Crystal Palace will face each other in the Premier League next weekend. The match between the Cherries and the Eagles will be held at the Vitality Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 3pm UK time next Saturday.

Bournemouth

Bournemouth are playing in the Premier League this season after winning automatic promotion from the Championship at the end of the last campaign. The Cherries ended up as high as second in the standings, and it was always a certainty that they would finish in the top two.

The Cherries are not doing particularly badly in the English top flight at the moment. Gary O’Neil’s side are 14th in the Premier League table at the moment with 16 points from 15 matches. Bournemouth are three points above the relegation zone and are above the likes of Everton and West Ham United in the table.

Bournemouth will take on Chelsea away from home at Stamford Bridge in London in the Premier League on Tuesday before facing Crystal Palace at the Vitality Stadium in the league next Saturday. The Cherries suffered a 1-0 defeat at the hands of Premier League rivals Newcastle United away from home at St. James’ Park in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.

Team News:

Neto and David Brooks are on the sidelines until the New Year. Jefferson Lerma, Lloyd Kelly and Marcus Tavernier could become available. Lerma should recover from a sore knee.

Crystal Palace

Crystal Palace are an established club in the Premier League who tend to finish in mid-table. The Eagles ended up as high as 12th in the standings last season, and there is a very good chance that they will do something similar this time around.

Palace are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 19 points from 14 matches. Patrick Vieira’s side are as many as six points above the relegation zone and seven points behind Manchester United, who are currently fifth in the standings with 26 points from 14 games.

The Eagles will take on Fulham at Selhurst Park in the London derby on Boxing Day before locking horns with Bournemouth away from home at the Vitality Stadium in the Premier League.Palace went down 1-0 to Nottingham Forest away from home at the City Ground in the Premier League in November.

Team News:

Olise, Ayew and Zaha will be the front-three for Palace. Guaita will be in goal for the Eagles.

Key Factors to Consider:

  • Bournemouth have lost 4 of their last 6 competitive matches.
  • Bournemouth have won 1 of their last 6 Premier League games.
  • Crystal Palace have scored 15 goals in 14 Premier League matches.
  • Crystal Palace have conceded 18 goals in 14 Premier League matches.
  • Bournemouth have conceded 32 goals in 15 Premier League games.

Conclusion

Neither Bournemouth nor Crystal Palace can be particularly trusted to turn up on the day, and there is a very good chance that the match at the Vitality Stadium will be end in a draw. The Cherries and the Eagles are likely to cancel each other out in a scored draw.
