Best Odds: 8/1

Burnley and Leeds United will face each other at Turf Moor in the Premier League this weekend. The match will be held at Turf Moor and is scheduled to kick off at 2pm UK time on Sunday.

Burnley have made a rather disappointing start to the new season. Sean Dyche’s side suffered a 2-1 defeat to Brighton and Hove Albion at Turf Moor in their opening Premier League game and then went down 2-0 to Liverpool away from home at Anfield.

The Clarets did win in midweek, though, Burnley got the better of Premier League rivals Newcastle United 4-3 on penalties away from home at St. James’ Park in the EFL Cup.

Team News:

Ashley Westwood and Matej Vydra could return from respective toe and groin problems against Leeds. Aaron Lennon could be part of the matchday squad.

Leeds United

Leeds United kicked off their new campaign with a 5-1 hammering at the hands of Manchester United away from home at Old Trafford in the Premier League. It was a tough start for Marcelo Bielsa’s side, but they recovered to earn a 2-2 draw with Everton at Elland Road in the league.

Then in midweek, Leeds won 3-0 against Crewe Alexandra at Elland Road in the EFL Cup.

Team News:

Robin Koch is out with a pelvic issue, but fellow defender Diego Llorente is available for Leeds United.

Key Factors to Consider

  • Leeds have conceded seven goals in their opening two Premier League games.
  • Burnley have gone 11 successive home league games without a win.
  • Leeds have won 10 and lost 10 of their Premier League away games under Marcelo Bielsa.
  • Burnley have lost their last five top-flight matches.
  • Burnley have won three of their previous four home league games against Leeds.

Burnley will not be easy pushovers and will make it hard for Leeds. The Whites’ high-pressing and high-intensity game could be tough for the Clarets. A win for Bielsa’s side is the most likely outcome in this game.

Prediction: Leeds United to win 2-1
