Leicester City and Fulham will face each other in the Premier League this week. The match between the Foxes and the Cottagers will take place at the King Power Stadium and is scheduled to kick off at 7:45pm UK time on Tuesday.

Leicester City

Leicester City are not having the best of times at the moment and remain in danger of getting relegated to the Championship at the end of the season. The Foxes are as low as 13th in the Premier League table at the moment with 17 points from 17 matches, just three points above the relegation zone.

Brendan Rodgers’s side will head into the match against Fulham at the King Power Stadium on Tuesday evening on the back of a 2-1 defeat to Liverpool away from home at Anfield in the league. Although Leicester took an early against the former Premier League and UEFA Champions League winners, two own goals from Wout Faes saw the Reds pick up all three points from the encounter.

The defeat to Liverpool followed a 3-0 hammering at the hands of Newcastle United at the King Power Stadium. It was one of the poorest performances from the former Premier League champions. Eddie Howe’s side, who are aiming to finish in the UEFA Champions League places in the Premier League table this season, were in control of the game from start to finish.

Team News:

Leicester City forward Patson Daka is expected to miss out, having gone off against Liverpool with a hamstring problem. Ryan Bertrand, Jonny Evans, James Justin, James Maddison, Ricardo Pereira and Dennis Praet all are on the sidelines.

Fulham

Fulham won promotion from the Championship to the Premier League at the end of last season. While the Cottagers were superb in the second tier of English football, there were doubts whether they could bring that form to the top flight. After all, Fulham had struggled in the Premier League before.

However, Fulham have been superb in the Premier League so far this season. The Cottagers are as high as eighth in the league table at the moment with 25 points from 17 matches. Marco Silva’s side are only seven points behind fourth-placed Manchester United, who have played 16 games. There appears to be no danger whatsoever of the London club going down. They could actually end up in a European place in the league table.

Fulham will head into the match against Leicester City away from home at the King Power Stadium in the Premier League on the back of a 2-1 victory over Southampton at Craven Cottage in London in the league. It followed a 3-0 victory over Crystal Palace at Selhurst Park in the London derby.

Team News:

Aleksandar Mitrovic and Antonee Robinson are one booking from a ban. Fulham manager Marco Silva may not make any change to the team that won against Southampton at home.

Key Factors to Consider

  • Leicester City have lost 3 of their last 6 Premier League matches.
  • Leicester City have scored 26 goals in 17 Premier League matches.
  • Fulham have conceded 27 goals in 17 Premier League games.
  • Fulham have won 3 of their last 6 Premier League games.
  • Aleksandar Mitrovic has scored 10 goals in 14 Premier League matches.

Conclusion

Leicester City do have a good team, but the Foxes are having a very poor season. Although they are at home against Fulham, it is hard to see the Cottagers lose the game given their form and the confidence of the players. It is very likely that this match will end in a scored draw.
