Preston 13/10 to beat Sheffield Wednesday in Saturday’s Championship clash

Competition: Championship

Market: Preston win

Odds: 13/10 @ Bet 365

Looking to make it three wins on the bounce, a resurgent Preston side will travel to Hillsborough on Saturday afternoon.

Starting with Sheffield Wednesday, coming off the back of a 2-1 loss against Swansea last weekend, Jos Luhukay’s side are arguably the least in form side in the Championship. Now without a win in their last three and quickly freefalling down the table, it will be their defensive issues giving Luhukay the biggest headache. No team in the second-tier holds a worse defensive record and the Owls have now shipped eight in their last three. Now looking over their shoulder and within touching distance of falling into the bottom three, they have recorded just one win and Hillsborough since the end of August.

As for the visitors, while Wednesday might be sliding down the table, the same can not be said for Preston. Coming off the back of a 3-2 win over Millwall last Saturday and also picking up three points at the City Ground earlier in the month, Alex Neil’s side will be looking to make it three wins on the bounce this weekend. Looking to break into the top half of the table, one man to watch for the Whites will be leading goalscorer Callum Robinson. The Ireland international has now bagged two in his last two for Preston and has 10 goals for the season so far.
