Rangers close to Kent deal

Rangers maybe lost the Old Firm on Sunday, but on Monday they could be getting a new signing. They are reportedly close to completing a permanent deal to sign Ryan Kent from Liverpool, according to journalist Jim White.

Kent is a well known face at Rangers, as he used to play for them on loan last season. The Scottish giants have been satisfied with his performances at the club last term and now they are ready to pay around £7m for the 22-year-old. According to White, he will undergo a medical once the fee is agreed.

Kent has been part of Liverpool’s Under-23 side since returning from Rangers at the end of last season. He was never really close to joining the first team and having a chance to break into the squad of European champions. A move out of Liverpool makes sense for him. Kent made 43 appearances for Rangers while on loan at Ibrox last season.
