Real Betis want Leeds United’s Rodrigo

Real Betis are interested in signing Rodrigo from Leeds United in the summer of 2021, according to El Gol Digital. It has been reported by the Spanish news outlet that Rodrigo wants to leave Premier League club Leeds at the end of the season, and that La Liga outfit Betis are keen on securing the services of the Spain international, who can operate as a striker or as a winger.

Rodrigo joined Leeds from Valencia in the summer of 2020. The 30-year-old is not having the best of seasons, although he has been used out wide or as a creative midfielder instead of as a striker. According to WhoScored, the former Benfica striker has made 12 starts and eight substitute appearances in the Premier League for Marcelo Bielsa’s side so far this campaign, scoring three goals and providing one assist in the process.

Leeds are 11th in the Premier League table at the moment with 39 points from 29 matches. Meanwhile, Betis currently find themselves sixth in the La Liga table with 45 points from 28 games.
