Real Madrid eye Benfica central defender Antonio Silva

Real Madrid are interested in signing Antonio Silva from Benfica in the summer transfer window, according to Fichajes. The report has claimed that Madrid, who have won the La Liga title this season,

Fichajes has claimed that Benfica are looking for £85 million in transfer fees for Silva, but it is too high for Madrid, who will take on Borussia Dortmund in the final of the UEFA Champions League this season. The 20-year-old is one of the best young defenders in the Portuguese domestic league and has already played nine times for Portugal.

Silva has been on the books of Benfica since 2016 and has come through the club’s youth system to establish himself in the first team. The young centre-back has made 29 starts and one substitute appearance in Liga Portugal this season, scoring two goals in the process. Silva also played six times in the UEFA Europa League this campaign.
