Real Madrid prepares plan for Inter’s Maicon

Inter defender Douglas Maicon is the latest player to be linked with a move to Real Madrid but he will only move if presidential candidate Florentino Perez is elected.

Spanish paper AS claims the Madrid giants are keen on the Brazilian, who has been enjoying a great season with the Nerazzurri. Although Maicon is a regular starter at the club, president Massimo Moratti could consider selling him and utilising Davide Santon on the right.

Inter scout Luis Suarez seems to be pushing the move forward after revealing that Maicon’s prowess at the back makes him worthy of a role at the Santiago Bernabeu. “Maicon is a player, who can play for Real Madrid,” he explained. “He is very physically strong and he has great technical qualities.”
