Romelu Lukaku on verge of Chelsea move

Romelu Lukaku is on the verge of joining Chelsea from Inter Milan, according to Sky Sports. It has been reported that the former Manchester United striker has arrived in London to complete his £97.5 million transfer back to the London club from Italian champions Inter.

Lukaku underwent the first part of his Chelsea medical in Milan. It followed after the 2021 Champions League winners agreed in a principle a deal with Inter to re-sign the striker. The 28-year-old then went to Monte Carlo before landing in Biggin Hill Airport on Wednesday evening.

Chelsea sold Lukaku to Everton in 2014. The striker has scored 113 goals in 252 appearances in the Premier League so far in his career. The Belgium international scored 24 goals and gave 11 assists in Serie A last season, and found the back of the net 23 times and provided two assists in the league in 2019-20.
