Brazil haven’t been able to start their Sudamericano Sub 20 campaign the way they hoped for, having been held to a 1-1 draw by Paraguay.

The Brazilians did take an early lead as Walter opened the score after only seven minutes, but Paraguay fought their way back with an equaliser from Libertad’s Hernan Perez 12 minutes from the end.

Brazil and Paraguay now share second place in Group B, behind Uruguay who beat Bolivia earlier on Tuesday. Chile had a day off and begin their tournament on Thursday.
