Uruguay were down 1-0 by half time but slammed four part their Paraguayan opponents for what turned out to be a comfortable 4-2 victory.

Robin Ramirez put Paraguay in the lead on 21 minutes but Rodrigo Cabreda equalised six minutes after the break and Santiago Garcia made it 2-1 after another few minutes.

Nicolas Lodeiro of Nacional added another goal to his tournament tally in the 78th minute, immediately followed by Uruguay’s fourth goal through Jonathan Urretaviscaya.

Santander Ospina got a late consolation goal for Paraguay.

Uruguay have nine points from three games and are certain of a spot in the next round. Paraguay are currently fourth and need good results versus Bolivia and Chile if they want to advance to the final stage.
