Roma President Rosella Sensi has backed coach Luciano Spalletti and insists his position at the club is safe.

Roma have had a poor start to their season and are currently on 14th place in the Serie A.

There have been reports in Italian media that Spalletti could be axed following their poor start, but Sensi insists his job is safe.

“This is a difficult moment,” she said. “It’s not easy for people who have become accustomed to winning.

“But Roma is a great family and the Coach isn’t in question. Ancelotti will not be coming here.

“And anyone who isn’t able to support Spalletti will be shown the door.”

Sensi added on when forward Francesco Totti is ready to return: “Francesco Totti? I don’t know when he will be available but I think it will be very soon.”
